‘Making it Happen’ event “excellent and extremely useful”

The first of our Making it Happen events was successfully held in London on Tuesday 9 March, and as it was fully booked, lots of debate and interaction made for a lively workshop. Entitled ‘Making it Happen: Practical steps for developing universal information and advice services’ - the event aimed to outline practical steps to help deliver and maintain high quality, cost-effective services which respond to local need.

Harriet Mathie, our Strategic Policy Manager, and Mark Cheverton, MD, set out practical steps and potential models to take services forward - and interactive workshops enabled delegates to share challenges and raise particular issues.

Some comments include “very useful day - nothing could be improved” and “this has enabled me to begin to develop a sound framework to support the delivery of a universal information & advice strategy”.

Our latest briefing paper, second in our Information Matters series, ‘Making Change Happen’ was launched at the event, and used as a resource in one session, which prompted comments such as ”Information Matters documents are extremely useful in terms of what the areas of focus should be to move forward” and “literature was excellent and extremely useful”.

The Leeds event is being held today.
